The SCIENCE FAIR “ Astronomy – 2024 “ was conducted with the combined effort of SPIC Nagar Hr. Sec. School and the rotary club of SPIC Nagar on 18.10.2024 Friday at 9.15 am in school ground . Mr. D.Chidambaranathan, Thoothukudi – District Educational Officer(Private schools) inaugurated the Science fair and Shri. E.Balu(Guest of Honour) – Whole Time Director – SPIC, School Secretary Mr. T.S.PremSundar, School Headmaster Mr. L.Babu Radhakrishnan Along with, the Rotary President Mr. Bala Subramanian & Rotary Secretary Mr. Rama Subbu of SPIC Nagar graced the occasion and took part in the inauguration ceremony. 215 exhibits from varied subjects like Maths , Science and Social Science were displayed by the skillful students of SPIC Nagar Hr. Sec. School was glanced by all the dignitaries of the function and the near by schools . The project model with the theme “Sustainable Development Goal” was also displayed by the various club students. That was innovative and informative. The mosaic of drawings and craft work of various class children were also exhibited. At the end of the inauguration session, the chief guest was honoured with the memento and it was a delightful moment.
Additionally, In regards with Dr. APJ.Abdul Kalam,Power point presentation competition for classes X to XII and ATL Line Follower Robotic Competition for classes VI to VIII was conducted on 15.10.2024(Tuesday). 57 in PPT and 23 participants in ATL were competed and the winners of 1st, 2nd & 3rd position was declared by the judges at the end of the competition.
The valedictory function of the Science exhibition was conducted on 19.10.2024 (Saturday) at 2:30 pm in SPIC Nagar Hr.Sec School. Rtn.Er.J.Dhinesh Babu (District Governor Elect RID 3212) and Guest of Honour Shri.E.Balu – Whole Time Director – SPIC attended the function. It is an excited moment of declaring the winners of varied exhibits as category wise. Chief guest of the function and other dignitaries on the dias crowned the winners of the Science Exhibition. Rtn.K.Kannan (Assistant Governor Zone 23)felicitated the gathering.The valedictory function came to an end with the national anthem.
