SPIC Nagar Higher secondary school celebrated its 51 St Annual sports day on February 3rd 2:30 pm on the sprawling grounds of the school. It was a day filled with fervour, and exhilaration, thrills and cheers.

The sportive function was presided over by Shri. E.Balu – Whole time director ( SPIC). Our chief guest Dr.L.Balaji saravanan- Superintendent of police, Thoothukudi district graced the function. The sportive afternoon started with the lovely rendition by the choir to pay salutations to the lord almighty followed by tamilthaivazhthu.

The chief guest hoisted the Olympic flag and declared the sports meet open. 

The school president took the salute of the impressive March past of the students,coupled with some stirring marching music.

The march past was followed by the lighting of the Olympic torch by our school future Olympians.

The students entered in to the spirit of the occasion in a grand way with the oath being administered by the sports captain.

The mass drill showcased the skills and exercises practiced by our young sports enthusiastics everyday.

An energizing equestrian display set the tone for the rest of the event. The Hops dance mesmerized the audience. It creates oneness with the body as a whole.

The last event, Mega dance added colour to the function with vibrant energy.

The day ended with our guests congratulation the winners with medals and certificates.

The programme concluded with the vote of thanks.

The day was a fun filled fest of laughter, energy and delight as around 2000 audience presented and enjoyed the occasion.
